usb reader?

Can someone help me, I bought a USB reader, I try a couple of pictures to another computer to transfer, but nothing seems to to work, can someone tell me if I do I use it right?

I'm not sure what you mean by a "USB Reader"? If it's a USB card reader, then you need to insert a flash memory card such as SD or CF card. The card reader has no memory of its own. They can borrow the card from your digital camera, you do not pay attention only to accidentally delete your photos. If you have a USB flash drive or thumb drive, then it should it "plug and play". XP/2K/Vista Windows or Mac OS should recognize the device when you plug it into the USB port. You can check by On "My Computer" in WinXP. The flash drives and memory cards in various sizes from 256 MB to 16 GB. They are usually even before the FAT16 file system formatted.
