Leather Case

What is the value of a Smith and Wesson 38 Special CTG revolver serial no V150457 with it’s leather case?

it is nikel plated. 2.5 or 3 inch barel (no tape measure)

Your gun will be hard to value since it doesn’t have the original parkerized finish. Victory models were not made with nickel plating from the factory, they all had a parkerized finish that is dull. If it’s a good job with no rounded edges and crisp lettering somebody may be interested in it, but the value as a collector’s piece is gone. Also, does it have the lanyard ring on the frame at the bottom of the grip?

VICTORY MODEL
- .38 Spl. (post-WWII commercial sales only), .38 S&W Spl. (U.S. government sales only), or .38 S&W (Lend-Lease arms to Allied Forces only) cal., 2 (rare) or 4 in. barrel, mfg. in accordance with British/American Lend-Lease agreement of WWII, parkerized finish, most with “V” prefix, approx. 240,000 mfg. 1942-1945.
