mic, what should I buy for my Canon XL2 camera?

I am planing, a show on a local TV and whnts need to know what is the best choice in Microphones I can have .. I am looking to buy an electric microphone and two wireless microphones. I really want to go, and ask people on the street, so that their Outdoor principle .. I am also loooking for the best wilress microphone system used for a discussion qroup … I want to sit 8 to 10 people and the discussion required of questions, but i dont want to use shotgun, I have a very good wireless handheld microphone for my Canon XL2 basket … Any suggestion?
