Is the Garmin Nuvi 200 GPS Canada are all the cards of any kind (ie) a minimal base map?

The nüvi 200 has maps from the lower 48 states already loaded, but not Canada or Alaska. So what happens when you travel to Canada? If you are driving on a completely empty Screen, or it has at least a minimal base map? I used a Garmin Quest, which requires the user to manually load all the maps. But even before you Load the cards, it will still function with a rudimentary, integrated is the basic map-in. Is similar to that of what would happen with the Garmin 200, while in Canada? I am also curious if you can add maps, the Canadian unit to buy a separate card for the purchase of the device itself, if later found that the Canada-mapping. Thank you!
