Brand new geocaching and wondering what GPS to buy?

I am new to and wondering what to buy geocaching handheld GPS. I wonder what experiences you have with the Garmin eTrex H. I'm pretty cheap on the lookout for something. And I also ask where you find the best deals on GPS. Thanks, I have an iPod touch, But you must not have wifi to work. I only used a branch Garmin eTrex Legend on Amazon.com for $ 79.

Much depends on your budget. You can Buy GPS devices, as low as $ 75 and up to $ 600 or more. For geocaching, Garmin is the only way to go. They are by far the most innovative when it comes to the Geocaching is implementation specific. Magellan did not even come close. Plus has great support for Garmin. I would start to click through to visit the Garmin Web site and Then click "On the Trail" or better yet, go to this page on the Garmin website below gecocaching specifically setup for users. On this page you will find a A link to the "Geocaching Product Guide" that will show you, all Garmin GPS devices that enhanced geocaching features. I would not recommend anything less than the HC and eTrex Vista HCx. Here's why: color screen, microSD memory card, USB computer connection. But you'll find less expensive and more expensive models with less / more features. The new Oregon looks promising, but at the time this answer is too new and still too expensive IMO.
